AN INTRODUCTION



  • BAND NAME: Module-8 (" Modulate " )

  • CURRENT MEMBERS:
    There's 8 of us currently in the group. Two singers, one bass player, one lead guitarist, one rhythm guitarist, drummer, a DJ, and one keyboard player. Go to the crew members' interview page of this site to find out mroe about each member.

  • WHEN DID YOU FORM THE BAND?
    We formed the band in late December, 1998. There was originally only 7 members and we were called METHOD before. But the crew grew to eight, and the name changed. Two of the original members were replaced by the ones who are with us now.

  • WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS BAND NAME?
    Because there's 8 of us, we thought that Module-8 would be a good name that describes the group in general. Also, if you read it out loud, it also sounds like "modulate" which is like our style, cus we like to pick out songs and try to do them in our own special way, you know, modulate it according to how we want it.

  • WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST GIG?
    Our first gig was this girl's 21st bday party in January 1999. It was a great first experience for all of us.

  • WHAT IS YOUR STYLE OF MUSIC?
    Kinda like r&b , jazzy, and funk. We dont really do alternative songs or country or dance. Normally we would play R&B, pop, and oldies revived. We're still tying to learn a few jazzy / funky tunes.

  • WHO'S THE ORGANIZER OF THE BAND? Dennis M., he's also our resident dj.

  • HOW OFTEN DO YOU PRACTICE? About twice a week if chance permits and more often if there's an up and coming gig.

  • WHAT KIND OF FUNCTIONS WOULD YOU PREFER TO PERFORM AT?
    Any kind. Wedding, bday party, graduation..anything at all as long as we get paid! :)

  • HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
    It depends on the function. We would be putting up a kind of a 'price list' in this site in the future. Right now we still havent got a proper pricing for our services hehehe...:) At the moment, you can discuss the price with Dennis if you wanna book us for a function. You have to book us at least, 1-2 months ahead to give us time to practice our songs and any other songs you'd want us to play.
